The Sprinkler and the thinker!!

Yesterday, I was scheduled to go to play group with some friends. It was Hannah's last full day of school and Sarah was super excited to go see her friend Audrey. That's all she talked about all night and all morning. So I felt super guilty when I decided that I would run errands instead of playgroup. Use my last day with only one kiddo!! I hadn't gone grocery shopping all week, wanted to clean out the art closet before summer officially begins, etc etc... So after going to the Y, reading my Bible and feeding the girls breakfast, Sarah and I went off to HEB. I got her mind off playgroup by enticing her with swimming. We can basically have the girls move mountains if we dangle swimming. As I returned home from HEB, our sprinklers turned on. Sarah immediately went upstairs and came down in her swimsuit. She played in them while I unloaded groceries!

On a different note, Tuesday evening we had an unexpected visit from Maw. It was great, though we had just seen her at her house this weekend. While we were there, Sarah thought it was a good idea to throw almost a whole roll of toilet paper down her toilet. They live in the country, so they don't have a MUD to deal with drainage. So, when Maw discovered Sarah's mess, she fussed at her and then continued to explain to her that she had to think about what she was doing before she did it. She needed to use her thinker and THINK THINK THINK! So, when Maw made it to our house Tuesday, Sarah did something not bright. Maw reminded her to use her thinker, to which Sarah quickly replied. "Maw, I left my thinker at your house."

The think think think theme has been running rampant through our house. Honestly, I never even thought of teacher her to think at this age, but its brilliant. Its helping her make some better choices! So,when she was watching TV this morning, when a tv character made a poor choice. Sarah quickly came up to me and said," Hey.. he's using his thinker just like me!!! ".. oh sweet girl.. keep using that thinker!!!
