Weekend in Orange! Week 1

It had been a long time since we had the priveledge of going to Orange to visit with Maw and Paw. So when the opportunity came, we jumped on it. Because BSF meets early Saturday morning, I arranged to attend a different meeting, (got to go to the Men's class... it was totally different then the womens...but that's a different story). So after work, we were off...

Orange is such a fun place to go... the girls have a blast. JPat's parents are incredible. They give 100% attention to the kids. We are truly blessed. One of the many Orange traditions is sleeping with Maw. Hannah has been sleeping in Maw's bed for as long as I can remember. Paw gets sent to the couch. Sarah still sleeps in her crib. This is how we found Hannah one morning. Its incredible that Maw could get any rest. Sarah always wakes up, realizes that she got the short end of the stick and runs to Maw's room.
By the time we wake up, both children are up and at them.... its a good thing Maw has a big ole bed!!!

On Saturday, JPat went to help a dear friend, Joey, with some Ike damage. They thought it would be an easy job, but it turns out the damage was much more extensive than they expected. So, we got the priveledge of having them come spend the day with us at Maw and Paw's. Here are some pictures from that day!

Sarah and Hannah "packed" their makeup so they could play at Maw's. Here are the results.
Sarah was complaining about her ear hurting..and since. well a band aid makes everything feel better, she INSISTED on a Band Aid for her ear. The funny thing is that she actually kept it on her ear.
When the Boyd's came over, we spent most of the day outside. The weather was awesome.

It looks like David is trying to kiss my sweet INNOCENT Sarah .. (yeah RIGHT!) I don't think that JPat likes this picture. The neighbor's horses were loose. All of a sudden during lunch, we see a couple of horses pass by the front window. Maw called them. We went outside to watch them corner the horses, and put them on harnesses. Then they offered the kids a ride. Hannah was a bit skeptical, but she finally gave in.Sarah loving on the newest member of the Boyd family, sweet Ethan James. Sarah calls him "my baby." Then she corrected herself and said..its "Elizabeth's Baby"... I guess mama never matters!
Meet Ethan James Boyd.. what a sweetie!.. Popsicles at Maw's is another tradition.

As is playdoh. Hannah is getting more and more creative. Its been fun to see what she comes up with...
All in all, it was a great weekend....
