Ballet 2010

My sweet girls started dance today. Its been a blessing to "phase in" the fall routine. Hannah's school, Sarah's school, now ballet. Soon BSF will start, then Pam Thompson and the business will have resumed!  I say that but thus far 85% of my day is still spent in the confines of my house with my lap baby..

OH wait.. this post is about DANCE.

Sarah is in the four year old combo class. Half ballet, half tap. It's a great mix of some friends from last year and quite a few new friends.  My sweet girl has been waking up EVERY morning for the past few weeks saying, "is it Ballet yet?"

As we were driving to ballet, she told me all about how she was going to be the seed and then Ms. Juleigh was going to sprinkle some water with her had and then she was going to become the beautiful flower... That girl..even when you don't think she's listening.. she hears everything. Evidently, Ms. Juleigh taught them that over summer ballet.... :)

Sarah had a blast at ballet... So did her mama visiting with the other ballet mama's.  At the end of ballet, we finally had a chance to pick up our recital video from June... (I KNOW June.. sheesh!!). She thought that she was the cat's meow because Ms. Juleigh let her "sign" for it.  She's big stuff.   I bargained with her and told her that if she napped, she'd get to watch the video while Hannah was in her class.  She napped. For a TWO WHOLE HOURS. Then she woke up and immediately asked about the video.  That girl sat through almost the whole recital.  She probably would have watched all of it, but her daddy walked in and rolled his eyes and made her turn it to Man. Woman. Wild.  Daddy's.

Hannah is in 2 different classes now. She choose to take ballet for the first hour and then Jazz for the second. She opted out of tap. My time and my wallet thank her.  She is starting out the year with smiles. There was no whining or complaining about getting dressed. We'll see how long that lasts!!

By the way, look at my long lean girl...I would love to have her figure....I'm glad she got the "white girl" genes as far as abs go.. Indian chicks do not have natural abs like THAT!!  At least this one doesn't!!

They look so cute in their dance gear! We started dance last week, and Millie's teacher is also named Mrs. Julie! :) Hannah opted out of dance this year - she wanted to give basketball a try. I've enjoyed your posts - glad you're blogging again! :)
